The Santa Paula Theater Center is proud to announce “Full Disclosure” – a bi-monthly storytelling event to take place in the Backstage Theater. The brainchild of Larry Swerdlove, an Emmy Award winning writer and director, “Full Disclosure” will be an opportunity for Ventura County residents to share true stories from their lives in a free-wheeling evening that will include storytelling, live music and multimedia projections. Modeled after other popular storytelling events like “The Moth” and “Mortified Nation,” each evening will be curated by a different producer which will insure variety, diversity and rotating formats. Each evening is sure to amuse, surprise and emotionally move audience members.
The performances take place the first Sunday of every other month at 7:30. The inaugural event took place on May 7, 2017. The theme was “Beginnings” and featured 6 local residents, sharing intimate moments from their lives. Live music was provided by The Santa Paula Ukulele Club. Soft drinks, snacks, beer and wine are alway available during performances.
“Full Disclosure” is produced by the Santa Paula Theater Center in conjunction with Surprisingly Good Productions and My Family History DVD. Each performance is videotaped and one of the stories will be posted on the “Full Disclosure” YouTube channel.
